Semant is a naming service operated by Anakalice Digital Limited. We develop names for businesses, brands, products, services and business ideas, and explain the meaning and reasoning behind each one.
Businesses, brands, products, services and business ideas. If you are building something that needs a name, Semant can develop it.
The core naming service gives you three developed names, each with its meaning and reason. If you already have a name, we also handle registration and trademark work.
Yes. Names come from your brief, for your specific business. There is no public catalogue of ready-made names to choose from.
No unlimited revisions. You are commissioning a naming service and the agreed deliverables. If an extra name is offered, it is one more name, not an open-ended round of replacements.
Yes. We carry out a CAC name availability search on your chosen name as part of registration, or on request.
Yes. We can reserve your chosen name with CAC, which holds it as a step towards registration.
It depends on what you are registering. A Business Name is a fixed, all-in price that already includes the CAC government filing fee, one clear amount. A Company is priced by your company structure and share capital, so it is quoted rather than fixed. Either way, we show your Semant fee and the CAC government fees clearly before you pay, and you never work out CAC's charges yourself.
They are two different CAC categories. A Business Name is the simpler registration for a business trading under a name. A Company is an incorporated company, for example a Private Company Limited by Shares. They have different requirements and different government fees. If you are not sure which you need, tell us in your brief and we will guide you, you do not need to understand the law.
CAC can raise queries or ask for corrections, more often with company and NGO registrations. Handling one standard round of queries and a resubmission is part of the service. If the application needs substantially more work, or repeated additional rounds, we will tell you before doing it and agree any extra charge with you first. We never do chargeable extra work without your go-ahead.
We carry out a preliminary trademark availability search on your selected name. It costs ₦10,000. It is a preliminary search to give you a useful signal, not a formal legal opinion or clearance.
Yes. We can check domain availability and social media handle availability for your selected name. Availability can change quickly, so we recommend securing them promptly.
Yes. We register Business Names, Companies and NGOs. We review your details, prepare and file the application, follow up on any CAC queries, and deliver your documents. Each one is quoted for your case, and registration outcomes are subject to CAC approval.
Yes. We handle trademark registration for ₦100,000 plus statutory fees. It goes beyond the preliminary search (₦10,000). We do not guarantee registration, that depends on the trademark authority.
You are purchasing a naming service and the agreed deliverables, not a guarantee that a particular name will be your favourite. Completion is based on delivery of the agreed names with their meaning and reason. Where an extra name is offered, it is one more name rather than an open-ended replacement round.
Small clarifications are welcome. A substantial change to the original brief after work has begun or after delivery is a new scope of work and may need a new payment. Getting the brief right at the start keeps everything simple.
It depends on the service and the steps involved. Naming is completed within an agreed timeframe once your brief is received. CAC and registration steps also depend on CAC processing times. We confirm timing when your project begins.
